Betty Van SteenwykBetty Van Steenwyk, Psy.D.

Dr Van Steenwyk received her doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Fuller Graduate School of Psychology in Pasadena, CA.  She is licensed in Nevada as a Psychologist.  Dr Van Steenwyk  works with children to geriatric populations.  Her specialties are working with  Behreavement/Grief, Depression, Anxiety Disorders, Family Issues, Military Sexual Trauma, PTSD, Women’s issues, Medical Psychology and adolescents in both testing, evaluation and treatment.  Dr. Van Steenwyk takes an eclectic approach to therapy including Family Systems Play Therapy, and all forms of accepted Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.  She is an exceptional well trained, empathetic and intelligent clinician who represents the best of Psychology.

VanessaVanessa Humphrey, MA, LMFTI, LADCI – Intern

Ms. Humphrey is completing her Licenses as a Marriage and Family Therapist (Intern) and Clinical Professional Counselor (Intern).  Her eclecticism and thirst for knowledge makes her a versatile in the fields of mental health.  Ms. Humphrey has been working in behavioral health area since 2009.  She has had experience working in outpatient and inpatient services.  Ms. Humphries works with children to geriatric populations.  Specialties include: depression, anxiety, trauma, children’s issues, adolescent, couples and families, medical psychotherapy, and alcohol and substance abuse.  Ms. Humphrey is a personal and professional person who takes cognitive-behavioral approaches to treatment.  She is well traveled and a strong advocate for others.

Robin Gordon, LCSW – Intern

Ms. Robin Gordon has been working in the mental health and educational fields since the 1980’s.  She has worked as a grade school teacher, meditation trainer, and chief people officer of Intercommunity Cancer Centers of America.  Ms. Gordon works with all populations, especially children.  Specialties include:  Childhood disorders, Couples/Family, Mediation, Learning disorders, Depression, Anxiety disorders, ADHD, and Medical Psychotherapy.  Ms Gordon is skilled in Play Therapy as well as Cognitive-Behavioral therapy.  Robin has been the recipient of the Georgia Child Author of the Year.

Diana Schmitz, LCSW – Intern

Ms. Schmitz has been working in behavioral health since 2014. She brings exuberance and caring into her practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker intern at Oasis Counseling.  Ms. Schmitz received her Master in Social Work from Arizona State University.  She works with Children, Adolescents, Adults and Geriatric populations.  Specialties include:  Childhood disorders, ADHD, Anxiety/Depression, Adolescent issues, Couples/Families, Trauma, Women’s issues and Medical Psychotherapy.  She is trained in Child Therapies, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapies and Client-Centered treatment.

Maral Ardrouman, LCPC

Maral Ardrouman is a Clinical Professional Counselor, licensed in Nevada. She works closely with children, adolescents, and their families to facilitate positive change, create better communication skills, and define attainable goals within life and at home. Ms. Ardrouman has a strong background in behavioral modification, child therapy with individuals who suffer from behavioral disorders, and autism spectrum assessment and support. Among her professional skills, she is also fluent in Armenian.
